Bowen Bridge to Bruny Island - 30km

Jonathon Wall on the 17 January 2023 was the first recorded swimmer to swim from the Bowen Bridge on the Derwent River Hobart, Tasmania to Bruny Island (Dennes Point) situated South of Hobart in a time of 8hrs 24min 13sec. Jonathon Wall was piloted by Val Kalmikovs aboard his vessel Meow and Obsever/crew was Dean Summers. Jonathon Wall is a accomplished open water long distance swimmer with many long-distance swims under his name.
